I adjust the jig so that the gouge is making good contact at the cutting edge and just touching the back edge of the hollow grind. As soon as I get a burr developing on the inside surface I switch to a 4000 grit water stone to finish honing, followed with a cotton buff charged with chrome oxide or rouge to remove the burr.

The only issue I have is the very slow hollow grinding of the blade bevel. To speed up the process I first flat grind the blade, then hollow that out on the T-7. The end results are impressive. I am very pleased with the T-7. I have a few pics on this cell phone, but I don't know how to post pics here. More to come. Slowly, but surely.

I started with a jig flat grinding for a couple blades. Then I did a couple with a jig hollow ground on my 12" wheel for a few. Then I went to freehand on my 8" wheel with workrest and now I do everything completely freehand bellied up on my 12" wheel. Starting with a jig completely sped up my learning curve. Really help me to get a feel for it.
