Keep a low cut width (or cut depth if you're talking the floor of a pocket or surfacing with a Face Mill) and do a separate finish pass. The depth of cut has to be larger than the chip load, or you can get rubbing. Usually something like 2-3x chip load will be right for the finish pass.

How big of a manchine does it take to use these shell mills?
I picked up a couple lots of shell mills at a local auction. Each lot was a pallet with a large variety of shell mills. Together, they came home for a whopping $100. The small stuff will work great with my Tree 2UVR. It's the big stuff that has me wondering. I know I can't go very large with a 3/4" Universal collet.
